Dharnidhar University, Keonjhar was established in 2023. The University offers teaching at the under graduate level in subjects like Anthropology, English, Economics, History, Philosophy, Political science, Oriya and Sanskrit in humanities stream, in commerce and in Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology in Science stream.
Spread over an area of 71 acres, the university has two campuses, namely North and South Campus, and its jurisdiction extends over the whole of Keonjhar district.There are 19 undergraduate departments and 20 post graduate departments(including 3 self-financed departments). 39 colleges are affiliated to the university. There are a total number of 59 regular faculty members, out of which 54 were earlier appointed at the college and were subsequently deployed at the university. Presently 25 guest faculties have been engaged in various teaching departments. The state government has made provisions for temporary engagement of 236 retired/adjunct/guest faculties for the institution at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. The University has disability friendly barrier-free environment.

I am glad to know that the newly established Dharanidhar University, Keonjhar has revamped and update its website. I hope, the website would not only showcase the University’s accomplishments and values but at the same time would ensure that every from prospective students, current students, Faculty, and alumni to those who take interest in the University stays are well informed and connected and benefited. This accessibility would enhance the University’s reach, help create a strong brand identity of the University which instil a sense of belonging and pride among all concerned.
