EDUCATIONAL TOURS
OBJECTIVE
- To provide practical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge.
- To provide better exposure and experience.
- To develop interpersonal skills.
- To provide an opportunity to interact and learn from field experts.
CONTEXT
Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction. There are various educational techniques by which educator delivers the lesson to the students. Educational tours are one of them.
Educational tours play an important role in educating students in a practical and interest-driven approach to improve the overall learning and development of students. Students are energized, excited, and thrilled in anticipation of a fresh perspective and an informal environment. Every
Educational institutes must encourage students to participate in Educational tours and make the educational tours a part of the curriculum to enhance the knowledge of the students.
PRACTICES
- Different Departments of the institution arrange field tours, industrial tours, and study tours as a part of curriculum and interactive learning.
- HODs of different departments contact different Govt. Industries and Research Institutes for planning and arranging the educational tours.
- Students Interact with different experts and discuss different topics and queries.
- Students get exposure to industrial works, and practices as they have theoretical knowledge being taught in college classrooms.
- Students get the opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods, and employment practices.
VALUE ADDITION
Educational tours like field tours, industrial visits, and lab visit gives better exposure to how things actually work, students can learn new things and gain practical knowledge to help them in their careers.
Better Academic Performance- Students get experience on different topics that require practical skills see new side to their subject of study and gain better perspectives. SOCIAL OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
OBJECTIVE
- The prime focus is to reach out to the society and conduct several social activities for students and staff.
- To inculcate feelings of social welfare in students.
- To work for the social development of society.
- To encourage students to volunteer and participate in the various social outreach programs.
- To promote youth welfare, a clean environment, a disease-free environment, be fit with good health and sanitation.
- To encourage health care, development, and health promotion among people in our society.
- To make people aware of various ill practices and superstition
CONTEXT
Believing in a greater cause and fulfilling a greater purpose are strong morals. Social outreach activities help the students to build a sense of responsibility and sensitivity toward society. More importantly, students can deepen their understanding of individual leadership, systemic change, and social responsibility in the context of a local, national, and global multi-cultural society. It involves giving learning, social planning, health support, and other processes for their welfare. As an educational institution, a major component of our outreach activities is education along with raising awareness.
PRACTICES
Our college has an extensive programme of social outreach activities including on-campus and off-campus social awareness campaign competition, donation drive etc. Sudents are encouraged to volunteer and participate in the activities organized at District level, University level,State level and National level; and get help from various authorities like District Adminstration, RTO, district health dept., NYKS,etc. College organized various kinds of social activities i.e. Plantation , blood donation, awareness rallies like road safety, swachh bharat abhiyans, FIT INDIA rally, puneet sagar abhiyan, AIDS awareness, plastic ban, anti-drug and no tobacco campaign. Awareness competitions like painting, slogan writing, debate, essay, etc. are regularly organised every year. Volunteers of NSS, NCC, and YRC along with other students actively participate in all events.
Plantation-Mega plantation was assisted by District Forest Department by supplying the saplings. Students , NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, YRC volunteers, College staff actively participated and created awareness among the youth regarding eco-friendly environment importance and conservation of native biodiversity
BLOOD DONATION
Students enthusiastically come forward to donate their blood to the needy in regular intervals. Our college YRC volunteers, NSS Unit, NCC Unit organize blood donation camps and campaigns in collaboration with District Headquarter Hospital Blood bank. Students also participate in blood donation camps organized by Rotary Clubs, NGOs and other social service organization.
AWARENESS RALLY
Awareness rallies on ban of single use plastics, Road safety, AIDS, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
,Antidrugs and No tobacco were done by Volunteers of NSS, NCC, and YRC to sensitize the local people about the ill impacts as well as positivily of the ralllies.
SPECIAL CAMP
Special camps were organised by NSS units of the college in the adopted village in which multifarious activities were undertaken by the volunteers for the awareness of the village people on differant social issues like child marriage, drop outs, poverty, superstitions, domestic violence. Similarly health awareness programmes like No Tobacco, AIDS, Covid-19, Swachhata and sanitation, hand washing, wearing mask, vaccination, etc were included. The volunteers successfully organised and to some extent awared the people through street plays, rallies, meetings through many experts as resource persons,direct activities of volunteers with the villagers,distribution of masks,YOGA for fitness,etc.
COMPETITION
Different Competitions organized by the State and District Authorities on the Social issues and on various occasions were held from time to time which created positive response among students. Volunteers participated in painting, debate, essay, slogan writing, photography competition, short video clipping competition and they were appericated and won prizes also.

- Disaster Management Capability Enhancement organized by NDRF

- Tabacco Control Awareness Programme Assisted by Zilla Swathya Samiti,Keonjhar .
- Pari Rally against Sexual Harassment to Girl Child Organised by District Police Administration, Keonjhar.
