Welcome to the Department of Sanskrit. This department was established in 1972 with honours at Under graduate level. The post graduate Department of Sanskrit started functioning from the year of 2023. It aims to train students who are oriented towards research and teaching in advanced areas of Vedanta, Nyaya, Yoga, Dharmashastra,Vyakarana and Literature.

The objective of this department is to impart quality education in the field of Sanskrit, focusing on innovative teaching, research and extension activities for building a creative, enlightened and productive society.

To create and disseminate knowledge in Sanskrit through interdisciplinary research and creative enquiry for developing a dynamic and sustainable society.
